Decotric Fine Fill Interior Filler 400g
Not every repair needs a bag of powder and a bucket. For nail holes, hairline cracks, chipped edges and the general making-good that comes before painting, a ready-mixed fine filler in a tube is faster, cleaner, and leaves nothing to throw away. Decotric Fine Fill is that product.
It's a ready-to-use, solvent-free fine filler for interior work, applied straight from the tube with a filling knife.
What it goes on
Painted and unpainted wood — window frames, doors, skirting and architrave — as well as plaster, concrete and stone. It's also intended for full-surface filling over synthetic resin substrates such as resin plasters and previously emulsioned walls.
Working with it
- Up to 3mm application thickness. For anything deeper, build it in layers or use a deep-fill product instead.
- Dries in about an hour, depending on thickness and conditions.
- Sands very easily to a fine, smooth face. This is a finishing filler rather than a structural one, and the fine grade is the entire point of it.
- No re-rolling needed before painting.
What goes over it
It leaves a sound base for synthetic resin and acrylic lacquers as well as dispersion paints.
On woodwork the ease of sanding matters more than anything else. A repair under gloss or satin is judged by whether you can see it in raking light — a fine filler that sands genuinely flush disappears, and a coarse one never quite does, no matter how many coats go over it.
