For plasterboard joint work, consumption runs at approximately 0.3 litres per metre, making the 3L tub a workable quantity for a standard room's worth of joints and fixings. For thin smoothing passes at 1mm layer thickness, coverage is around 1 litre per square metre. Drying time varies depending on substrate porosity, layer thickness, ambient temperature, and humidity — conditions that professionals working on site will factor in as a matter of course.
